From the award-winning architects that brought you Nob Hill Bar & Grill, Aqui Nob Hill, Betty’s Bath & Day Spa (and many great homes and schools that you’ve never heard of) comes this surprising residence – a ranch house for the twenty-first century. Baker A+D has done it again, deftly transforming a nice but ubiquitous 1950’s ranch house into a state-of-the-art dwelling complete with modern amenities and a modern sense of environmental responsibility.

Through careful material selection and site integration, the house sheds its Anywhere, USA persona and becomes a true Albuquerquean. The atmosphere, which is decidedly serene and minimalist, belies the technological infrastructure beneath the skin; photovoltaic solar power generation, rainwater harvesting for landscape irrigation, retro-fit radiant floors, and an interactive white board, just to name a few. Other amenities include: home office, three-car garage, lap pool, stone retaining walls, custom cherry cabinetry, and modern shogi screen doors.
